To say Sunday was social is an understatement. From the moment we opened the doors of the Chateau at the crack of dawn, the people flowed like the Maillot Jaune coffee – fast. The furore over our special edition Chateau kit had people lining up on Frome Street in anticipation of getting their mitts on the Flamingo-inspired merch.

Eager shoppers and caffeine seekers were then joined by over 100 ladies for the Wheel Women's Ride. Escorted by our very own Specialized Women's Racing team, the group were taken on a picturesque loop out to Henley Beach before returning to the Chateau to join the hordes hanging for a good time.

As day rolled into the night, the crowd subsided somewhat and headed to the People's Choice Classic for the crescendo moment of the Santos Women's Tour Down Under and kick off of the men's race. Those who stayed got a head start on the refreshments, watched the race on the big screen and soaked up the sounds of our soulful DJ.

But the day wasn't over yet. With retail staff a few bevvies deep, and the crowds dropping in on the way home from the crit, suddenly the Chateau was bubbling up again. Eager cyclists in the venue to bequeath Monday a new kit day or simply soak up the Miami vibes.
